Visit Ol Seki Hemingways
Hemingway’s Old Seki Mara Camp is a luxurious tented camp with a wonderful setting within one of Kenya’s most beautiful landscapes. With panoramic views from its unique position on an escarpment overlooking the Mara plains, Ol Seki is surrounded by the Naboisho Conservancy and its 200 square kilometres of pristine wilderness. This large, private area has an open, unfenced border with the Maasai Mara allowing a full migration of wildlife throughout the vicinity.
Accommodation
Guests are accommodated within the ten huge, beautifully designed luxury tents – each with ensuite bathroom, dressing area and an elegant decor including wooden floors, comfortable double bed, lounge area and tasteful soft furnishings and fine linens throughout.
Each tent has its own private wooden deck / terrace where guests can relax and enjoy private dining, sunbathing and stargazing all surrounded by the vast expanse of the Koyaki plains.
The Simba Suite and Chui Suite are self-contained pent-house tents each offering two large en suite bedrooms, living area with fully stocked private bar, dining room and kitchen. Service can be discreet or you can choose to have a butler / cook service. These are ideal for families or groups wanting a totally private safari experience within a stunning setting.
The camp prides itself on its personal service – it retains an exclusive feel only found at the smaller properties. The staff of Ol Seki are sourced from the local area and their passion for the camp and its surroundings is evident through the friendly, high level of service.
Activities & Facilities
Dining at Ol Seki is superb with high-quality freshly-prepared meals using the very best ingredients. Guests can choose between the Dining Tent – a wonderful place to meet others and enjoy sharing the thrills of your safari adventures – or private dining on your terrace or within your Suite.
Breakfasts include healthy Continental choices including home-made muesli and fresh exotic fruit or a hearty Full English Breakfast. Lunches and dinners are wholesome, varied international dishes.
Guests can opt to relax and unwind with an afternoon aperitif, sundowner or after-dinner drink in the Library Tent or on The Deck. Both locations have superb views of the African wilderness.
All game drives are in 4×4 vehicles with professional, qualified safari guides and trackers and Ol Seki guests have the benefit of seeing a wide range of animals – including Africa’s Big Five – in this private reserve where only those staying on the Conservancy have access to the land. This allows for a premium and authentic safari experience.
