Visit Porini Ol Kinyei Safari Cottages
The Porini Ol Kinyei Safari Cottages are your exquisite home in the world renowned Masai Mara offering every comfort with the distinct warm service of the Ol Kinyei Maasai and an unbeaten wildlife experience. The cottages feature a wildlife dam on the property, in walking distance from your doorstep.
A unique “home away from home” with stunning views across the Mara in the only IUCN Green List Protected area in the Mara eco-system with some of the highest big cat densities and the location of the annual Loita wildebeest calving every year in February and March, with the local community members who know this land intimately as your hosts.
The 4 four-bedroom high-end safari cottages are on a hillside location with spectacular views over the open plains below. There is a large wildlife dam down from the cottages which is a big draw for wildlife including lions and elephants. The cottages are designed to maximize on these views whilst minimizing the visual impact from the plains. Each Cottage has four spacious bedrooms, all with private bathrooms en-suite. A common lounge with a fireplace for the cold evenings and media room for kids to have a place to unwind, remote working, reviewing and editing the days photographers and so much more. (We welcome children aged 5 years and over – see Prices Information for more details).
The design is open where practical – to ‘fit in’ with the surrounds and ethos of a conservation minded development, giving a closeness to nature but without compromising comfort and functionality.
For guests staying at the Porini Safari Cottages for their African safari holiday, we can arrange to book return flights from Nairobi to the nearby Naboisho Ol Seki airstrip using the daily scheduled services of Safarilink/Airkenya, Kenya’s leading safari airlines.

Our Porini Camps in the Mara are adjacent to the reserve in exceptionally rich wildlife areas where tourism density is controlled and deliberately kept very low (1 guest tent to 700 acres) and as such there is no need to visit the Mara National Reserve to view lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalo, giraffe, hippo etc. Stays in our camps in the conservancies also include extra activities like night game drives, guided bush walks, bush meals and sundowners. However, should guests wish to include a visit to the reserve this can be pre-booked with the additional park entry charge applicable (currently $100 per person for 2024 low season & $200 per person for 2024 high season, subject to change). As the park entry tickets for the reserve must be booked and paid for in advance, this option needs to be confirmed at time of booking.
One Day Maasai Mara National Reserve entry fee included from 1st July to 30th September ONLY.

What Porini Safari Cottage Guests' Say...
In our commitment to excellence, we not only strive to exceed our clients’ expectations but also value their feedback. We are proud to present our latest clients’ feedback from Porini Safari Cottages posted on Trip Advisor.
Christopher D - Sept 2024
Definitely a trip of a lifetime
We stayed at the cottages for 4 nights at the beginning of September. I cannot fault a single thing about our stay. The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The celebratory song/dance and they gave us at dinner was very special (it was our anniversary). The rooms were beautiful and had everything we needed. Evans the chef did a great job with the food, there was always plenty of selection and lots of it. Finally our guides, Bill and Eveline, were fantastic. Our Safari experience was immense and surpassed my expectations. I would definitely recommend Porini to anyone thinking about a safari.
Steph F - Jul 2024
Outstanding!
What an amazing place! The staff are all so friendly and attentive, especially Grace, the rooms are exceptional and the food was top tear even when we had meals out on game drives they were still high standard. The game drives were simply amazing! David and Evelin were the best guides ever. Their knowledge of the animals, birds and flora was incredible and they ensured we had the best experience possible. Thank you for an amazing holiday and would highly recommend!
Kapil C - Jul 2024
Just Amazing!
Amazing experience and hospitality. Very neat and clean. Special thanks to Daniel, Grace, Richard and all the staff for accommodating our special needs. A big thank you to Chef Samuel for preparing delicious meals and catering to our needs (we were all vegetarians). I definitely recommend this conservancy for the experience especially with kids!
