Day 1 & 2: Victoria Falls
You will be met on arrival at Victoria Falls Airport and will be transferred* to your choice of accommodation for a two night stay. Standard Option: Batonka Guest House. Superior Option: Victoria Falls Hotel. Deluxe Option: The Elephant Camp.
* NB Private Transfer for Superior & Deluxe Options. Transfer may be shared for Standard Option.
The Victoria Falls are one of the natural Seven Natural Wonders of the World and is the largest sheet of falling water on earth – a spellbinding and mesmerizing spectacle. The sheer mass of water cascading down the 100m drop across nearly 2km makes a thunderous roar and creates a magnificent spray of water that can be seen for miles – hence the local name ‘mosi oa tunya’ meaning ‘the smoke that thunders’.
Batonka Guest Lodge is situated in the quiet residential suburb of Victoria Falls, just 2.2 km from the Victoria Falls Rainforest entrance and 1km from the town centre. The Lodge is set in lush gardens, a tranquil haven away from the bustle of town but within easy walking distance of the main attractions. Batonka Guest Lodge offers 27 en-suite air-conditioned rooms, complete with a balcony, overlooking the beautiful garden.
Established in 1904, the Victoria Falls Hotel is set in the Victoria Falls National Park with a private path to the Victoria Falls. Overlooking the Victoria Falls Bridge and gorge, it is one of the most famous hotels in Africa and is renowned for its elegance and charm. The en suite rooms and suites are well appointed and are furnished in traditional Edwardian style with every modern amenity.
The Elephant Camp is situated on a private concession within and bounded by the Masuwe River and Zambezi gorges with breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls’ spray. It is an intimate lodge under canvas within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities, yet secluded in its own private game reserve so as to allow close-up encounters with wildlife. There are just 12 luxury tented suites each facing the gorge and with a private viewing deck, plunge pool, private lounge area. All guests will have the opportunity of meeting the elephants at the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary.
Day 3 & 4: Chobe
Following breakfast, you will be transferred* by road to your choice of lodge in Chobe for a two night stay.
Standard Option: Chobe Bakwena Lodge. Superior Option: Chobe Game Lodge. Deluxe Option: Ngoma Safari Lodge.
* Private Transfer for Superior & Deluxe Options. Transfer may be shared for Standard Option.
The Chobe River Front is a remarkable wildlife area due to the permanent water source of the Chobe River. The spectacle of all the animals coming to drink and frolic at the water’s edge is one to behold, particularly in the dry season (May – Oct) where water is scarce away from the river. It is an area famous for its abundance of elephants, a variety of predators and, in addition, you are likely to see herds of buffalo and possibly even roan and sable antelope.
Chobe Bakwena Lodge is an eco-luxury retreat surrounded by the Chobe National Park on the banks of the Chobe River near the village of Kazangula. It comprises of 10 rondavel style chalets all situated under the shady canopy of Acacia trees and each is surrounded by indigenous riverine bush and with a river view. There is a swimming pool and main area with lounge, restaurant and Rain Tree bar overlooking the river. The package includes three activities (game drives and boat cruises).
Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent lodge situated within the boundaries of Chobe National Park. It is built along the riverbank with spectacular views of the Chobe River and floodplains. The 48 en suite rooms are river facing and have private terraces. Facilities at the lodge include a large swimming pool with terrace, a riverside boma area, beauty salon, stylish bar with terrace. Activities include 4×4 game drives and boat cruises.
Ngoma Safari Lodge is situated within the Chobe Forest Reserve bordering the western edge of Chobe National Park and overlooking the Chobe River. All 8 river facing suites have spacious internal and external living areas including both an inside and outside shower, luxury bath and a private splash pool. There is a swimming pool, sundeck, bar and dining area. As Ngoma Safari Lodge is situated in a Forest Reserve, both walking and night drives are permitted and activities include: game walks, games drives, birding as well as a full day game activity including cruising on the Chobe River and driving within the Chobe National Park.
Day 5: Safari ends in Kasane
After breakfast you will be transferred (by the lodge’s shared transfer) to Kasane Airport from where we can arrange an onward flight (not included).
Alternatively, a road transfer can be arranged from the lodge back to Victoria Falls – supplement applies.
