Onguma Camp Kala
The exclusive and intimate Onguma Camp Kala is elevated on wooden decks and offers panoramic views over the floodlit waterhole below. The thatched camp is centered around watching the wildlife and is designed to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings. Offering numerous vantage points to enjoy the natural surroundings and wildlife – be it the comfortable lounge, the cocktail bar or the beautiful deck – which is sunny by day and warmed by a fire pit at night.
The dining area has an open plan “show” kitchen and all-day pantry to ensure everyone feels right at home. Below the deck, guests can while away the hours in absolute comfort in the air- conditioned water-level photographic hide. Other facilities include a fully equipped gym, yoga deck and spa.
Activities are all exclusively custom tailored and based on the greater Onguma Reserve, allowing the opportunity to get off your vehicle and explore nature with your guide. Traditional game drive trips into Etosha are also available.
Each suite has its own deck with plunge pool and wood-fired hot tub as well as a walkway to a private, shaded sala with a king-size outdoor day bed – perfectly placed for an armchair safari or a ‘sleep out’ under the stars.

Rachel Chambers
Rachel resides on the vibrant West Coast of Canada, specifically on Vancouver Island. She has a profound love for travel, having explored nearly 30 countries. However, it was a solo journey to Africa that truly ignited her passion. Upon stepping foot in Botswana for the first time, Rachel was captivated and knew she needed to explore more of the continent. Since then, she has ventured solo to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mauritius, South Africa, Uganda, and Kenya, where she traveled with Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps.
It was during these experiences that Rachel realized her desire to be a part of the Gamewatchers team.

Hello, I am Sally Wanjau, and I have been travelling to Kenya on safari since the 1980’s which led to me living and working there for several years. Married to a Kenyan, it is a place that I now call home. I currently live in the UK with my husband.
