Tongabezi Lodge

Set in the shade of a towering grove of ebony trees, Tongabezi Lodge is set on the banks of the Zambezi River. Warm and exclusive, the lodge consists of five River Cottages and six private houses, each of which has a dedicated valet who takes care of guests throughout their stay. Boasting high ceilings and expansive wooden and glass doors and windows, the River Cottages combine authentic local style with a beautifully clean and modern design. Each cottage is an exquisite private haven where both indoor and outdoor spaces are focused on the river flowing by. Whether intended for couples or families, each individually designed house features elegant natural interiors that bring out the beauty of the natural setting.

Quietly nestled along the Zambezi River, Tongabezi offers an idyllic space to experience Zambia with a range of unique activities that showcase the beauty of the country. Delectable meals can be savoured one of three open-air dining decks or in the privacy of your own cottage or house. A shimmering swimming pool mimics the colours of the Zambezi and invites guests to cool off. Activities include game drives, bush walks, local village visits, fishing, canoeing, tours of Victoria Falls, sunset cruises.

My lens has captured the essence of the wild, earning recognition in esteemed competitions like the Sanctuary Asia annual wildlife awards and the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards. Beyond photography, I’ve dedicated myself to conservation efforts, collaborating with Ecological Task Forces and supporting WWF India’s training initiatives in tiger reserves. In the realm of education, I’ve partnered with CEC, New Delhi, to create informative video programs on Human-Wildlife Conflicts. I’ve ventured to Kenya, embracing the splendours of Africa while staying at Porini camps and other renowned lodges.
