Pick up from Nairobi International Airport and transfer to the unique Giraffe Manor for dinner and overnight.
The Giraffe Manor is an attractive, historic property built in 1932 and is surrounded by 140 acres of its own park and forest with superb views of the Ngong Hills.
In 1974 the manor was bought by Jock Leslie-Melville and his wife Betty, who founded the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW). They acquired two highly endangered baby Rothschild giraffe which thrived on the estate and several further generations have followed.
The Giraffe Manor is the only place in the world where you can feed and photograph the giraffe over your breakfast table and at the front door, and even from a bedroom window! Travellers from all over the world now make The Giraffe Manor part of their East African Safari.
With just 5 rooms the manor is an elegant and exclusive small hotel, personally hosted and renowned for having one of Nairobi’s finest kitchens.
Day 2
After an early breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for the morning scheduled flight to Tsavo West departing 07.30h (arrives approx. 08.40h). Met and transferred to Ol Donyo Lodge for 2 nights. Settle into your room and enjoy lunch before taking an afternoon game drive on the ranch. Dinner and overnight Ol Donyo Lodge.
Ol Donyo Lodge is in the heart of the 275,000 acre Mbirikani Group Ranch, located on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills National Park between the Amboseli and Tsavo West National Parks in southeast Kenya. Its location is unrivalled with full views of Mount Kilimanjaro and in the path of traditional wildlife migration routes. It is a lodge rich in history, passion and conservation.
Ol Donyo Lodge offers 10 magnificent, spacious and unique suites, each with a private terrace with “Star Bed” for guests to fall asleep under the African sky. 8 suites have a private pool.
The lodge offers a great variety of activities including morning and afternoon/early evening 4×4 game drives, guided bushwalks, bush dining in the wildlife filled plains, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, tracking, conservation and community out-reach programs and wildlife viewing in an open air hide near waterholes.
Optional activities (at a supplement, pre-booking required) include day trips to Amboseli National Park, or Chyulu East National Park, a scenic flight around Mt. Kilimanjaro, in-room massage service, cultural visits to Maasai villages.

Set in a private conservancy offering outstanding predator densities with the camp itself just 20 metres from northern boundary of the Masai Mara National Reserve, Mara Plains camp is a peaceful, exclusive tented camp located in the 32900 acre Olare Motorogi Conservancy.
Rarely a night passes without lion roaring nearby, while leopard are regularly found to wander through the camp and cheetah have established territories on the savannah nearby the main area. The wildebeest migration seasonally congregates outside camp. Open game drive vehicles, small camp size and low tourism vehicle densities make this camp a regional gem.
The camp caters for only 14 guests in seven uniquely designed octagonal canvas rooms. Each is raised on decks, and opens on three sides to the outside. Floor to ceiling net walls and the marquis ceiling make for very open-air and inviting environs. The en suite rooms have a dressing area as well as private verandahs with seating and exquisite views.
Mara Plains offers a range of activities – early morning and late afternoon and night game drives, balloon safaris (at extra cost), authentic local village visits and unrivalled access to superior wildlife habitats.
Day 7
Early game activities and breakfast. Depart camp with picnic lunch and transfer to the airstrip for the 11.30 flight to Migori (arrives approx. 12.00). Take the 13.50h flight to the Serengeti and to Olakira Camp. Olakira is located in Ndutu area between Dec and March and in Kogatende between June and November. Met on arrival to transfer to camp. After afternoon tea take a game drive in the beautiful surroundings of the Serengeti National Park. Later return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 & 9
At Olakira Camp including morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti hosts the largest concentration of wildlife in the world, and is home to one of the great wonders of the natural world, the Great Migration. Over a million wildebeest and some 600,000 zebra move through the eco-system, with lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, wild dog and crocodiles making sure only the strongest survive. The sheer volume of numbers combined with the daily dramas of life and death make this an unforgettable experience.
Olakira – meaning ‘star’ in Maasai – is a premium tented camp of just 6 to 8 luxury tents. It follows the Great Migration through prime wildlife areas in the Serengeti, the land that offers probably the best wildlife spectacle on the planet.
The en suite tents feature king-size or twin beds and each tent has its own private veranda with an amazing view overlooking the Serengeti.
Fantastic meals are served in the dining tent or in a private location: your own veranda or under the Serengeti stars.
Olakira operates as Olakira Mara Camp in the Northern Serengeti near Mara River from June to November. From December to March it moves south to Ndutu near the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area.
Day 10
Early game activities and breakfast at camp. Transfer to the airstrip with picnic lunches for the flight to Manyara (arrives approx. 11.20h) where you are met by an expert safari guide with private 4×4 vehicle and transferred to the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon game drive. Later in the evening, transfer to Plantation Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 11
After breakfast depart with your private vehicle and drive to Tarangire National Park (game drives en route) arriving at Olivers Camp for lunch. Take a guided walk or enjoy other camp activities. Later take an afternoon / evening game drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 12
At Olivers Camp including morning and afternoon / evening game drives and safari walks in Tarangire National Park.
Oliver’s Camp is situated in the remote south-eastern part of Tarangire National Park, in the middle of Tarangire’s unspoilt wilderness.
Tarangire National Park is known for its large herds of elephant and majestic baobab trees. You can find many of the large African mammals here, including lion, leopard, buffalo, and lesser and greater kudu. The park hosts an enormous variety of birds – more than 500 species.
Oliver’s Camp is ideally placed to access the yearly migrations of wildlife, and to view impressive concentrations at waterholes and in the spectacular Silale swamps. This area offers the best chance of seeing lion, leopard and cheetah and the swamps often attract elephant, buffalo and zebra.
The camp features only 8 beautifully furnished guest tents. Solid wooden furniture, beautiful cloth and gorgeous warm showers that can be taken under the Tarangire sky. Every evening, guests relax or read in the lounge and library tent, or drink sundowners at the fireplace, from which superb views of landscape and sunset can be enjoyed
The range of activities on offer at Oliver’s Camp is unique for a camp inside a Tanzanian National Park. Off-road driving makes wildlife drives more intense and interesting and allows you to get closer to the action. Walking and fly camping add another unique element to a safari that is hard to find in other parts of Tanzania. The park’s stunning natural beauty is ideal for wildlife and nature photography.
Game drives from Oliver’s Camp are usually carried out in open vehicles, giving a feeling of absolute freedom. Off-road driving, allowed only in the remote areas of the park, gets you closer to nature and wildlife.
Walking is the absolute specialty of Oliver’s Camp. The privilege of walking in these prime natural areas gives you exhilarating feeling of adventure.
